The Game of Sark is a board game for
two to six players. Written by Sark resident Gary Clarke, it is based on
the map of Sark with each player rolling a dice to travel around the
island collecting souvenirs from each of ten beauty spots. Players
landing on red squares face a penalty - maybe just missing a turn or
perhaps going to Sark prison for cycling without lights. There are
also bonuses that can be collected as you travel around the board. When a player has collected all the souvenirs they race back to the Seigneurie and the first to arrive and complete the game by throwing a six is declared the winner and 'Seigneur'. Each game will probably take about an hour and a half, bringing back memories of Sark as you play. Just the thing for these dark winter evenings!
